Beloit freshman quarterback Noah Carrasco threw three touchdown passes as Lawrence's turnovers and short punts set up several Buccaneer scores, leaving local fans with a frustrating conference loss.
   

4. Appleton Airport Microgrid Loses $1.5M, Baldwin Says (microgridmedia.com) — Appleton-area travelers should know the Appleton Airport has lost a $1.5 million federal grant that was supposed to help build a solar-powered microgrid to boost energy resilience. Senator Tammy Baldwin's office says the U.S. Department of Transportation pulled the funding, but airport director Abe Weber plans to keep pursuing other state and federal support to advance long-term sustainability goals.
   

5. FEMA confirms $17.9M in disaster aid for four Wisconsin counties (ironmountaindailynews.com) — Appleton residents hit by July's tornado and severe storms can now access part of $17.9 million in FEMA disaster aid approved for four Wisconsin counties, including Outagamie and Winnebago. The funding will help cover temporary housing, home repairs, and low-interest loans for uninsured losses after damage in Appleton and Menasha, with additional support for local governments and nonprofits handling recovery work.
