Appleton Area School District Tentatively Planning In-Person Graduation Ceremonies For May 27
Each graduate will be allowed to invite up to two guests.
March 19, 2021
We are excited to announce our tentative plans to offer in-person graduation ceremonies for our Class of 2021 graduates. This will include the opportunity for each graduate to invite up to two guests to attend the ceremony in person. In addition, we are planning to offer a live stream of the graduation ceremonies to ensure that all family members and friends will have the chance to share in this very important occasion.

To provide the safest possible environment for our graduation ceremonies, our current plan is to use outdoor venues, including our high school stadiums, to host graduation ceremonies, if they are able to meet the capacity needs of the graduating class and guests. Graduation is scheduled for Thursday, May 27, with rain dates being set aside for Friday, May 28, and Saturday, May 29 (if necessary). Face coverings and physical distancing will be required for all people in attendance and other COVID-19 precautions will be followed.
While there is still much to be worked out, we know how important it is to get this initial information out to the members of the Class of 2021 and their families. We will continue to ask for input from our seniors and their families as we work through this process. As always, we appreciate your flexibility during these uncertain times. Please understand that these plans are tentative based upon current conditions of the pandemic. Thanks for your ongoing partnership as we near this momentous occasion!
