Heart and Vascular Institute of Wisconsin is the area’s largest and oldest cardiovascular practice that is well regarded for their clinical expertise and quality patient outcomes. Founded in 1968, HVI is an independent, physician-led organization that provides comprehensive cardiovascular care across multiple locations in northeast Wisconsin. The practice has 15 physicians and 90 employees.

“We are very excited to expand our relationship with the local Ascension Wisconsin physicians and hospitals. As independent physicians, we need strong hospital partners when patients need hospital care and strong collaboration with primary care physicians for managing chronic disease in outpatient settings,” said Dr. Carrie Chapman, physician president of HVI. “This is a win-win-win for patients, Ascension Wisconsin and HVI to broaden the scope and depth of cardiovascular services at Ascension Wisconsin sites of care. Cardiovascular disease remains the #1 cause of death in the U.S. and aging demographics create the opportunity to bring a full spectrum of services from disease prevention to acute care to patients at Ascension Wisconsin.”
