Free Meals For Appleton Students Extended

The flexibility will continue until Dec. 31, 2020, or until the available funding runs out.

September 1, 2020

On August 31, 2020, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced it will provide flexibility in the school meals program which will allow the District to provide free meals to children in the Appleton Area. The flexibility will continue until December 31, 2020, or until the available funding runs out. These flexibilities ensure meal options for children continue to be available so children can access meals under all circumstances. We will be applying for the waiver needed to take advantage of this flexibility, and hope to have more details available by early next week.
