Grand Chute Non-profits Received Surprise Donation from Meijer

Grand Chute Meijer has donated $10,000 to the Grand Chute Community as part of the Meijer Team Gives fall donation.

In the spirit of the holiday season, the Grand Chute Meijer has donated $10,000 to the Grand Chute Community as part of the Meijer Team Gives fall donation. Through the retailer’s first-ever Meijer Team Gives program, the retailer plans to donate nearly $3 million to 500 local nonprofits chosen by the local Meijer team members across the Meijer footprint.

As part of the Meijer Team Gives fall donation, the Grand Chute Meijer has donated $5,000 to Soar Fox Cities. Soar Fox Cities provides programs and services to individuals with developmental disabilities offering a variety of services that range from Youth, Adult and Family Programs, Advocacy, Community Education, and even the third largest Special Olympics organization in the state.

The giving doesn’t stop there. Grand Chute Meijer has also donated $5,000 to NAMI Fox Valley. NAMI Fox Valley works to support and empower everyone touched by mental illness by eliminating stigma and nurturing recovery through education, support, outreach, and advocacy.

Meijer strives to be a great community partner and exemplified this drive by empowering store teams to nominate and select organizations that were personally meaningful, made an impact in their community or served an overlooked part of their local population. Grand Chute Meijer Team Members have previously partnered with Soar Fox Cities and NAMI Fox Valley and were so moved they wanted to turn the minor partnerships into major ones.
