Substitutes are critical to the daily operations of the District and the continuity of learning for our students. The current number of substitutes has significantly decreased from the previous year as well as the candidate pool due to the pandemic.

Qualifications for substitute teachers have been expanded to include those with Associate degrees or higher, and enhanced compensation is now available.
The following adjustments to substitute rates were recently approved by the Board of Education for the first quarter of the school year only, but may be extended based on the conditions of the pandemic.

Long Term Substitute Teachers (Same position for 11-19 days)
