• Jackson County Behavioral Health to host presentations on youth safety, drug trends & digital world (weau.com) — Jackson County Behavioral Health in Black River Falls is offering two free virtual presentations this Thursday, Sept. 10, to help adults understand youth safety issues, from current drug trends to social media, AI and sextortion. Sessions run in the morning and evening so parents, caregivers, educators and other community members can join from home or work and pick up practical tips to better protect local kids.
• Jack (John) Eddy (wwisradio.com) — Longtime Black River Falls resident Jack (John) Eddy, 86, has died, and friends and neighbors are invited to a celebration of his life at the Lunda Park Shelter in town on Sunday, Sept. 20, from 1–4 p.m. Remembered for his love of young people, history, birds and the Boundary Waters, he leaves a large local family and many community connections.
