1. Starry Nights Concert Series

A summer staple in Brookfield, Starry Nights brings live music to the Wilson Center’s outdoor theater with a rotating lineup of performers throughout the season. Food trucks, a full outdoor bar and a kids zone are available onsite, and select nights include special events like a classic car show on July 10. The full 2026 lineup will be announced on April 14.

2. Milwaukee Film Festival
When: April 16-30, 2026 (times vary)
Where: Downer Theatre; 2589 N Downer Ave, Milwaukee / Oriental Theatre; 2230 N Farwell Ave, Milwaukee, WI
Less than a 30-minute drive from Brookfield, the Milwaukee Film Festival runs April 16-30 at the Downer and Oriental Theatres on Milwaukee’s East Side. The event showcases a wide range of films, including documentaries, shorts and international features, along with panels and discussions featuring filmmakers and industry guests.

3. Brookfield Farmers' Market
When: Saturdays, 7:30 a.m.-12 p.m., beginning May 2, 2026

Now in its 36th season, the Brookfield Farmers Market opens its outdoor run with a wide selection of plants, produce and goods from local vendors. Opening day features seasonal flowers, new vendors and returning favorites, marking the start of the weekly summer market.

4. Makers Market Of Stonewood Village
When: May 9, 2026, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Where: Stonewood Village, 17700 W Capitol Dr, Brookfield, WI
Held at Stonewood Village, this one-day market features more than 60 vendors offering handmade goods, baked items, boutique products and more. The event also includes four food trucks and live music throughout the day, with performances scheduled from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.

5. Civic Plaza Summer Concert Series
When: Wednesdays, June-August, 12 p.m.-1 p.m. and select evenings 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m.
Where: Civic Plaza at Brookfield City Hall; 2000 N Calhoun Rd, Brookfield, WI
Live music fills Civic Plaza throughout the summer with a mix of midday and evening performances on Wednesdays by local and regional artists. Food and beer vendors are available onsite, and the lineup spans genres from jazz and big band to rock and country.

6. Wirth Park Beer Gardens
When: Select summer Fridays beginning June 26, 2026, 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

On select Friday nights throughout the summer, Brookfield hosts beer garden events at Wirth Park featuring craft beer from North Pillar Brewing. Set within the park, the events offer a casual way for both adults and families to enjoy a summer evening outdoors. Check the website for the schedule.
