Up To 7 Inches Snow Forecast For Area, To Begin Tonight: NWS

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook and a winter weather advisory for Southeastern Wisconsin. Periods of light snow are expected over east central and much of southern Wisconsin from early Saturday night through Sunday morning.

The NWS is predicting a snowfall of three to five inches, with a few seven-inch amounts towards Sheboygan. The greatest accumulation of snow will occur tonight, lingering into Sunday morning.

In addition, gusty north winds will cause drifting snow as well as patchy blowing snow. The combination of falling and drifting snow will result in hazardous travel conditions developing, and will have an impact on Saturday night and Sunday morning motorists.

• Between 2 and 6 inches of snow are likely across the area, with isolated 7 inch amounts.
