MILWAUKEE/NARI ANNOUNCES 2013 “BEST OF TOUR” AWARD WINNER
MILWAUKEE, WIS. – The Milwaukee/NARI Home Improvement Council, Inc., the leading resource in the home improvement and remodeling industry in southeastern Wisconsin for more than 51 years, announced that Refined Renovations in Wauwatosa was the recipient of the “Best of Tour” award that was presented in conjunction with the association’s annual Tour of Remodeled Homes, which was held Sat., May 18 – Sun., May 19, as part of National Home Improvement Month.
A panel of judges visited each of the 14 Tour homes looking to identify the entry they believed had the best workmanship, attention to detail, design quality, and presented the best overall “tour experience.”
Refined Renovations Tour project in Brookfield featured a home where the homeowners wanted to have a kitchen with a strong aesthetic appeal and optimal functionality, in an environment safe for children, while still welcoming to guests. They also requested a new garage entry to the house, plus a remodel to their first floor bathroom to have it flow seamlessly with their kitchen.
The kitchen remodel added square footage to the house, with custom cabinetry, granite countertops with Vetrazzo recycled glass, and a ceramic backsplash with glass and stone accents.
The bathroom features granite countertops, with a Kohler Demi Lav sink and wall faucet, while the new garage entry features a home organization center.
The Milwaukee/NARI Home Improvement Council was chartered in July 1961, as a Chapter of the National Home Improvement Council. In May of 1982, the National Home Improvement Council merged with the National Remodelers Association to form NARI -- the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. With over 740 members, the Milwaukee Chapter is the largest in the nation.
The Council’s goals of encouraging ethical conduct, sound business practices, and professionalism in the remodeling industry have led to the growth of the remodeling industry nationwide and made NARI a recognized authority in that industry.
