• Brookfield police chase, vehicle and suspects sought (fox6now.com) — Brookfield police are asking for residents' help identifying a driver who fled an Aug. 23 traffic stop and led officers on a chase that was ended for safety reasons. The black Chrysler Sebring, linked to a dealer placard for Car Castle, has reportedly frequented Milwaukee's northeast side. Anyone with information can contact Officer Schaber or Waukesha County Crime Stoppers.
• Brookfield Chamber welcomes Tricia's Troops Cancer Connection (gmtoday.com) — Brookfield's business community recently celebrated Tricia's Troops Cancer Connection joining the Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce, highlighting new local support for families facing cancer. The nonprofit offers practical help like limited financial aid, transportation, groceries and caregiving resources, and plans to expand its impact throughout southeastern Wisconsin while deepening ties in Brookfield.
• Muskego group forms to oppose Flock cameras, plans push for ban (gmtoday.com) — Brookfield drivers are part of a growing debate after a Flock camera alert led City of Brookfield police to stop a vehicle on I-94 later found not to be sought by Milwaukee authorities. That incident is fueling a Muskego citizens group's push to ban automated license plate readers, while Muskego's mayor defends the cameras as vital crime-fighting tools, raising broader questions about privacy and public safety across nearby communities.
