• Lawsuit challenges warrantless Flock database searches in county (gmtoday.com) — Brookfield is among a dozen Waukesha County communities sued over police use of Flock license-plate cameras, with plaintiffs arguing officers should need warrants to search the vast vehicle-location database. The lawsuit details how cameras near homes, churches, schools, and businesses feed into a network searched hundreds of times locally and millions of times by outside agencies, raising privacy and surveillance concerns for area residents.
• Timberwolves fall to Wildcats in 2OT thriller (gmtoday.com) — Living Word Lutheran's football team lost a double-overtime thriller to University School of Milwaukee, but now turns its focus to visiting Brookfield Academy next Friday night. After a gutsy comeback led by quarterback Ryde Ehley and standout performances from young receivers, the Timberwolves will try to earn their first win on Brookfield's home field.
• Wisconsin marks 25 years since 9/11 with service, remembrance ceremonies (cbs58.com) — Brookfield is among several southeastern Wisconsin communities whose fallen veterans were honored at a 9/11 anniversary wreath-laying at Milwaukee's Wood National Cemetery. As Wisconsin marked 25 years since the attacks with service and remembrance events, speakers urged residents to keep sharing the stories of those who served and sacrificed in the wars that followed.
