Brookfield approves $28M purchase agreement for portion of Brookfield Square Mall property (gmtoday.com) — Brookfield officials just approved a $28 million purchase agreement for key portions of Brookfield Square Mall, including the J.C. Penney and nearby parcels, as they study major redevelopment options. The city now has up to 90 days of due diligence to decide whether to finalize the deal, potentially reshaping a central shopping and gathering spot for residents.

Oteil Burbridge Heads West with Oteil & Friends for March 2027 Tour (notreble.com) — Jazz fans in Brookfield can catch Oteil Burbridge with John Scofield's Electrospective tour at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center on October 17, 2026. The bassist is juggling Make-A-Wish benefit shows, Scofield dates, and a newly announced March 2027 Oteil & Friends West Coast run, giving local listeners a rare chance to see him close to home.

Warriors find themselves atop leaderboard, push six flights past subsectional (gmtoday.com) — Brookfield Central and Brookfield Academy are key hosts and contenders as area girls tennis teams advance multiple flights to upcoming WIAA sectional tournaments in Brookfield.
