
Five Spartan Athletes were recognized as they signed letters of
intent to continue their careers at the NCAA Division I level Feb. 4.
Quarterback Jonathan Lehman has accepted an appointment to attend West Point and compete with the football program. Lehman was a Second Team All Conference selection in the Greater Metro Conference and a team Captain and Most Valuable Player selection within the team this past fall. Lehman led the team to a thrilling 9-2 season, qualifying for the WIAA playoffs for the third time in school history. Lehman is also a sprinter on the Spartan Track team and an integral part of last year’s Triple Crown in the GMC, winning the Indoor, Relay, and Outdoor Championship.
Andy Raymonds has accepted an offer to play soccer at Loyola University-Chicago. Raymonds is a three year letter winner in soccer and basketball. This past soccer season he earned First Team All-Conference honors in the GMC. He was a team captain this fall, leading the Spartans to the WIAA State tournament for the 16th time in school history.

Teammate Peter Horner committed to play soccer at Northwestern. Horner was also a First Team All-Conference this past season duplicating that same honor last year. He earned Most Valuable Player honors for the Spartans. Horner’s and Raymond’s leadership and skills have been instrumental in earning Regional Championship honors for Brookfield East each of the past two seasons.
Katie Tolan will be competing in Track and Field at Marquette. Tolan is a four year letter winner in Cross Country and Track. She has been a State Qualifier each of the past two seasons as a Middle Distance runner in Track. She has served as a Team Captain for the Spartan Cross Country team each of the past two seasons leading the team to a Greater Metro Conference Championship each year. She has also served as Captain for two seasons in track where she
is a six time Conference Champion and a member of the team currently holding the school and GMC record in the 3200m Relay.

Aaron Thompson committed to run for the UW-WisconsinTrack team. He is a five-time State qualifier and a nine- time Conference Champion. Last year Aaron was the third in the 300 IM Hurdles making him an early favorite for the upcoming season. He presently holds one individual school record (300M Hurdles) and is a member of two school record relay teams. Thompson is one of the point machines that have driven the success in Spartan track. Last year the team won the coveted GMC Triple Crown and ran to a 6th place team finish in the WIAA championship.
