Autism Friendly Vacations Specializes in Family Vacations
Sara Nowacki of Autism Friendly Vacations And Travel Is A Specialist In Families Who Have a Family Member On The Autism Spectrum

My name is Sara Nowacki, and I’m the owner of Platinum Travel and Autism Friendly Vacations and Travel. I’ve been a travel agent since 2016, after a career as a math instructor at both the secondary and college levels. I’ve had the privilege to travel to over 25 different countries and all over the United States. I customize amazing vacations for people who want to see the world, and provide a seamless, personalized, stress-free, door-to-door travel experience.
I started this series of posts to talk about topics related to the travel industry to encourage you to have an outstanding travel experience. I hope this post will now help you plan ahead for when we all are able to travel again.
Today I’d like to share a personal passion of mine – helping families with a member on the Autism Spectrum travel.

As a mother with children who have some special abilities, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to travel as a family. I remember planning our first family vacation to Walt Disney World. I spent countless hours scouring the internet, trying to make sure everything about our trip was perfect. I felt so alone getting bits of information from various websites to put together a plan to prepare everyone for what to expect.
I believe our family travels gave my sons knowledge and confidence, and inspired them to try new things. When the opportunity to become a Certified Autism Travel Specialist came, I leapt at the opportunity.

People often ask me what I provide in addition to my regular travel services. In a nutshell, I arrange autism-friendly accommodations and services, and customize your vacation around the needs, interests, and dynamics of your entire family. This can include, but is not limited to, helping with the following.
- Special dietary needs/restaurant recommendations
- Sensory issues
- Expedited check-in
- Autism-friendly activities and excursions
- Airport security/flying
- Theme park disability access help
So, how do I plan your vacation? First, I want to meet or talk with you to really get to know your family and what you need. This allows me to personalize your trip and give you the best experience. Then, I design a vacation that suits your entire family. Every family is unique, and your vacation should be created to fit your family.
Throughout the process and while you travel, I will be with you every step of the way – to answer your questions, arrange any special accommodations you may need, and help you if issues arise. I also have plenty of travel tips from personal experience and from my families, who have graciously shared their travel stories with me.
It is my privilege and honor to be able to work with families and give them an experience they will never forget. Vacation planning can be overwhelming for some – my goal is to help alleviate the stress and fear so that everyone can have a great time.
