Elmabruk had been at a party in Wauwatosa and was dropped off at his home in the early hours of Aug. 31, when he got “bored” and decided to go for a walk. But before he left he grabbed an axe. While out on his walk about 5:07 a.m., he passed the Pick ‘n Save and thought about breaking in so he could get some candy and something to drink.
He first tried to break out a few windows, but his attempts were unsuccessful. He then successfully smashed the axe through the front door of the store and was going to take two Snickers bars. However, he saw an employee, got scared and left.
