Greendale Business Trip Provides Practical Experience for St. John Vianney 1st Graders
St. John Vianney students learn map skills at the Village of Greendale.

In an effort to provide real-world experiences to students, St. John Vianney first grade teachers Jenny Williams and Melissa Klement spent a day with the kids at the Village of Greendale on Friday, Sept. 28th.
The students learned the differences between goods and services by visiting various businesses in the village.
Map-building skills were an important part of the visit, as the students drew their own maps of the village and created a map key to round out the project.

It was a sensation for their senses, too, as the kids enjoyed the village’s beautiful English garden design and tasted sweet treats from Ferch’s Malt Shoppe.
