St. Dominic Home & School Association Sponsored Trip to Discovery World Museum

St. Dominic Home & School Association sponsored a field trip for our 6^th, 7^th and 8^th grade students to Discovery World Museum.

Students were broken into labs on different topics. One of the labs, Kohl’s Design It-Lab was a lab on “How Many Books?” Students were given materials to build their  own backpack. The goal was to build a backpack that held up to 10lbs. Each backpack was tested at the end of the session to see whose backpack could hold the weight.

This was a great way for students to see how much goes into designing a project.
