What's for Dinner?

A simple and delicious marinade for flank steak.

We've been grilling out all week, and loving it! Tonight we're having marinated flank steak. Flank steak is on sale at Sendik's right now, so grab one for dinner tonight, and marinate and freeze one for another day! Remember not to cook the daylights out of it, rest the meat after grilling, slice it against the grain, and then you'll have nice, tender slices of meat.

Fab Marinated Flank Steak

1/2 cup vegetable oil or olive oil
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 1/2 pounds flank steak

Combine all ingredients, and add meat, turning to coat. Marinate at least 30 minutes — longer is better! To freeze: combine ingredients in a Ziploc freezer bag, then add meat and “knead” to coat. Freeze. Thaw in the fridge overnight and grill.  Enjoy!
