Brookfield Central Basketball Player Signs with St. Cloud

Seth Mortag is one of three players from Wisconsin who will play for St. Cloud State next year.

Brookfield Central senior Seth Mortag signed his letter of intent Thursday to play basketball for St. Cloud next year, joining two other recruits from Wisconsin.

Mortag, a high-scoring forward at 6-5, averaged 16 points per game and was named to the Greater Metro All-Conference team his junior and senior seasons. He was also named the Waukesha County Player of the Year and Honorable Mention All-State.

“Seth is an extremely athletic young man that can play both forward positions,” St. Cloud State men’s basketball coach Kevin Schlagel said in a press release. “We look for him to be a great asset in our transition game as he is very explosive in the open court. Defensively, we think that Seth can guard several positions and be a big help on the boards.”
