Brookfield Chamber Honors Judi Murphy as Volunteer of the Year

Judi Murphy, President of Murphy Associates and partner at Oak Hill Business Partners, has been honored with The Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce’s Volunteer of the Year award. The honor, presented at the discretion of the board of directors, was awarded at the chamber’s 62nd annual meeting held in December.

Carol White, president & CEO of GBCC, said, “Judi has gone above and beyond the role of ambassador in making certain that every new member and guest at our Business After 5 programs is immediately connected with another Ambassador or New Member Engagement Partner. This ensures that first-time attendees, be they a new member or guest, are immersed in our culture of building relationships first.”

Murphy said, “As a member of the Brookfield for 28 years, I have seen first-hand the difference engaged chamber membership can make to a business’s growth. The connections and relationships I have made over the years have brought us success as we help others grow. I am humbled that the Brookfield Chamber has honored me in this way.”

Murphy was a member of the board of directors of GBCC for ten years and is a past board chair. She also represented the Brookfield Chamber as a voting member and president of Visit Brookfield’s board of directors. She presently serves as PR counsel at GBCC and is a member of the Ambassadors Council.

Murphy currently serves as a member of the leadership board for Exit Planning Institute of Wisconsin, and PR advisor for Independent Business Association of Wisconsin. She has served on business advisory boards at Waukesha County Technical College and Herzing University, and as past board member of Tempo Waukesha. She was a member of the City of Brookfield’s marketing committee, rebranding the City’s economic development efforts, and was a member of the City’s 2020 Master Plan Task Force.

Murphy has been a guest speaker on business ethics at both Carroll University and WCTC.
