Brookfield Drive-In Theater Debuts Friday With Double Feature
Marcus Majestic Will Show "ET: The Extra-Terrestrial" and "Jurassic Park" after officials approved the theater offering a drive-in option.
BROOKFIELD, WI — A drive-in movie theater approved by town officials will debut on Friday with a double feature, marking the first time the location has offered residents a movie-going experience since the coronavirus pandemic began.
Marcus Majestic Cinema, located at 770 N. Springdale Road, is set to open at 7:30 p.m. Friday with the showing of “ET: the Extra-Terrestrial” and “Jurassic Park”, the theater announced this week. Although the actual theater remains closed due to the ongoing pandemic,town officials approved the cinema offering the drive-up option.
Tickets must be purchased in advance on the Marcus Majestic mobile app or website.

Social distancing guidelines will be adhered to both in-person and in cars. Designated staff will indicate where visitors should park. Chairs in front of vehicles and in the back of truck beds will be permitted. The theater said the movie audio can be picked up through a radio frequency and invites movie-goers to bring portable radios as to not run down their vehicle's battery.
Food may be purchased either in advance of Friday or can be purchased online or through the mobile app or website. Concessions sales will end within 30 minutes after the start of the second film.

Guests will be required to wear face-coverings when outside of their vehicle. According to reports, a maximum of 120 vehicles will be allowed at one time and the theater will operate five days a week but could be expanded to operate seven days.
