Brookfield To Get New Conference Center

The 54,000-square-foot multi-purpose building and adjacent 168-room Hilton Garden Inn hotel are much-anticipated additions.

BROOKFIELD, WI -- Brookfield officials are ready to break ground on a new conference center - one they say has been years in the making.

Designed by Kahler Slater, the Brookfield Conference Center will serve as a new architectural cornerstone along the I-94 corridor. The 54,000-square-foot multi-purpose building and adjacent 168-room Hilton Garden Inn hotel are much-anticipated additions to the growing area, developers say.

The Oct. 10 groundbreaking celebration marks years of planning and approvals for the site, located at the south end of Brookfield Square Mall, officials say. Steven V. Ponto, Mayor of Brookfield, will be joined by Rebecca Kleefisch, Lieutenant Governor of Wisconsin, and partners from Visit Brookfield and North Central Group for the event.

Advanced architectural planning will allow state-of-the-art spaces to be modified into smaller configurations to accommodate varying layouts and events, officials told Patch. The Brookfield Conference Center’s design will play a role in creating a beautiful yet functional area for business and entertainment events while adding a distinctively modern element to the flourishing community, officials said.

Coming in 2020, the Brookfield Conference Center and Hilton Garden Inn will be within walking distance to more than three million square feet of shopping, 150 restaurants and vast entertainment options in the area.
