In 2007, Federman gave a change of beneficiary document for a life insurance policy on his brother, which changed the beneficiary to Federman from his brother’s wife. He collected nearly $351,000 from the policy one month later when his brother died.
After investigating the case, the complaint states investigators discovered Federman misled investigators.
