Brookfield Man Steals Dad's Bank Card to Buy Items to Exchange for Crack
Suspect faces 90 years in prison after he admits to the fraud to police.

A 45-year-old Brookfield man is facing charges after he took his father’s bank card, then used it to buy items he could exchange for crack cocaine.
Daniel G. Patscot was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Tuesday with 15 counts of identity theft for financial gain. If convicted, he faces up to 90 years in prison.

In January, Patscot’s father reported to police that someone had taken his bank card and bought more than $500 in items. He suspected his son because of his issues with crack.
Police interviewed Patscot who admitted to using the card to buy items he could exchange for crack.

He will make his initial appearance in court June 11.
