Brookfield Police Searching For Little Old Lady Purse Snatcher

Brookfield Police are searching for a robbery suspect, who reportedly grabbed the purse from a grocery cart while an 88-year-old woman.

BROOKFIELD, WI — Police are searching for a robbery suspect, who reportedly grabbed the purse from a grocery cart while an 88-year-old woman was reaching into a meat cooler.

According to police, the suspect concealed the purse under the front of his shirt and quickly left the store.

Police are looking for a black male between 40-50 years of age, bald, clean shaven, sunglasses, approximately 5'11" tall, 200 lbs., wearing a red t-shirt with a large logo on the front, blue jean shorts, black socks, tan sandals or flip flops.

The suspect vehicle is a newer red Toyota Yaris 4-door or similar vehicle; unknown license plate number as plate had a yellowish cover that made it difficult to read. Vehicle was last seen eastbound on Capitol Drive from N. 128th Street.

The purse is described as a black, medium-size purse with two straps and a beige pocket on the front. It contained $250.00 in cash and two credit cards. It also contained the victim's driver's license, Social Security card, Medicare, and AARP insurance cards.
