Brookfield Square To Get BistroPlex Cinema, Whirlyball Restaurant

BROOKFIELD, WI — Brookfield Square Mall is getting new life, as the old Sears store will be demolished in favor of a new Marcus Theatres BistroPlex, a Whirlyball restaurant and a new, smaller Sears, according to mall officials.

According to a BizTimes report, Chattanooga-based CBL & Associates Properties submitted redevelopment plans to the city of Brookfield for approximately 20 of the 29 acres of the Sears parcel.

The BizTimes is reporting that the remaining nine acres will be redeveloped by the City of Brookfield. Plans include a 170-room hotel and connected conference center for the site.
