Brookfield Turkey Trot, it's a family tradition!
The Kelly Johnson Foundation is hosting its 4th annual Turkey Trot 5K on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021. Be a part of the Thanksgiving tradition!
The Kelly Johnson Foundation is hosting its fourth annual Turkey Trot 5K on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021 at 8:00 a.m. at Fox Brook Park, 2925 N Barker Rd in Brookfield.
The last 4 years have been quite a success in terms of fundraising, raising over $5,000 and sharing many smiles over miles in the Brookfield community."We hope to bring together more runners, walkers, and volunteers this year and offer a hybrid model of both a social distance and safe family-friendly race and virtual race this November!" says Race Director Kelly Johnson.
The Kelly Johnson Foundation has continued to put a safe race plan in place to ensure the health and safety of all participants and volunteers while offering the one of best Turkey Trots in the state! And this year’s event offers a virtual option for participants that want to run the race anytime from Nov. 25 and 28.

“Last year with our virtual option, we had runners participating across the US from Texas, Virginia, and Illinois . We encourage everyone to be a part of the Thanksgiving tradition, thus we extended this option for 2021! Whether it’s in-person at our Wisconsin event or participating in your local neighborhood, we hope to bring families together and have fun partaking in the annual event.”
Race proceeds will help the Foundation support local high schools in the Midwest that have insufficient funding for after-school athletic and extracurricular programs and grow its Johnson Family Scholarship program. Since 2014, the Johnson Family Scholarship program has awarded 15 high school scholarships in Wisconsin and Illinois high schools. Participants are welcome to run, walk or stroll their way to the finish line. The 5K race will be timed, awards given out to the top male and female runners/age by division & overall male and female finishers.

Registration costs $35 for adults and $20 for youth 14 and under includes an exclusive long sleeve moisture wicking Turkey Trot shirt and enjoy limited post-race refreshments and sponsored raffle with many prizes. Pre-Race Packet Pickup at Wisconsin Athletic Club (WAC) Brookfield on Wednesday, Nov. 24th from 12-6pm. Race day Pickup is also available on Saturday from 7-7:45am.
