CITY OF BROOKFIELD

PARADE

The Parade begins at 10:00 AM, on July 4th, 2016. The parade begins near Brookfield Central High School along Gebhardt Road. It travels west one block and turns north on Calhoun Road. The parade goes west for one more block before turning south at Norhardt Drive, where it finishes at Civic Drive.

ICE CREAM SOCIAL

The annual city-wide Ice Cream Social will take place on the Civic Plaza immediately following the parade. There will be a flag raising ceremony and other entertainment.

FAMILY FEST

Family Fest is in full swing at Mitchell Park from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.

This annual pre-fireworks event features family-oriented games and activities, huge bouncing inflatables, free face painting, stilt walkers, a variety of food, and entertainment.

Special features on the Children’s Stage include “Glen Gerard "Magic Productions” and “The Truly Remarkable Loon- A Comedy Juggling Show”. “Our House” Band will be back with great entertainment on the Pavilion main stage.

Come on out to the park earlier and find parking, have a picnic, enjoy the activities and entertainment, and stay for the fireworks extravaganza. THERE IS NO RAIN DATE FOR FAMILY FEST.

FIREWORKS

The annual fireworks display will begin at approximately 9:17 PM on July 4, 2016 at Mitchell Park. Arriving early for the best parking opportunities is strongly encouraged. The rain date is Tuesday, July 5th, 2016 at 9:17 PM. Please call the Newsline for updates in the case of weather issues, (414) 297-9565 or check the city website under "News and Announcements".


TOWN OF BROOKFIELD

Marx Park, 700 S. Barker Rd., Brookfield , WI

The Town of Brookfield's Independence Day celebration is an annual tradition. The day will kick off with the parade at 9:00 a.m. This is followed by activities such as:

  • Ice Cream
  • Buckets O’ Fun
  • the unlimited games for all ages
  • cotton candy
  • the Pie Eating Contest
  • and the most delicious brats, hot dogs and hamburgers money can buy. All of this food will be sold for OUTRAGEOUSLY LOW PRICES.

Decorate those wagons, bikes, and floats for the parade.

Make sure to be in the Elmbrook Church north parking lot before 8:45 am to get lined up for the parade. It winds east on Davidson Road, then south on Linden Lane into Marx Park. Bring your chairs and candy bags to watch the parade!
