Brian McAvoy is the founder of Elmbrook Psychiatry and he is elite psychiatric provider. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. His scope of practice includes mental health evaluations, diagnosing mental health disorders, prescribing medications, medication management, and performing psychotherapy sessions.

He is experienced with diagnosing and treating depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder. His psychiatric experience includes seeing patients in outpatient clinics, private practices, skilled nursing facilities, and home healthcare. He is well versed in trauma informed care, holding a certification in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy.
