Enrique’s Journey, by Pulitzer prize winning author Sonia Nazario, will be the topic of
discussion. The young adult version of her book is available for middle grade readers.
To go along with the immigration theme in Enrique’s Journey, primary students are reading Where Are You From? by Jamie Kim. Free copies of each of these books are available now, while supplies last, at district public libraries and public school libraries, Elmbrook officials said.

A short presentation, hands-on activities for kids, small group discussions, and a learning
experience related to the timely topic of immigration in the United States can be expected.
Refreshments and childcare will be provided.
The event is funded through the support of the Library Services and Technology Act federal grant program for libraries in Wisconsin.
Officials say this grant was provided to support communities through public library and public school library collaborations. Support is also provided by Elmbrook’s Parent Network, Nicolet’s PTSO, and Forever Friends Inc.
