Corners Of Brookfield Hosting Downton Abbey Party, Pre-Screening

BROOKFIELD, WI – Silverspot Cinema in The Corners of Brookfield is hosting a Dowton Abbey-themed party, and will also be pre-screening the movie as part of their celebration.

Tickets are on sale now for a special pre-screening of Downton Abbey on Sept. 12 at 7 p.m., before the film officially opens on Sept. 20. Ahead of the pre-screening, Silverspot will host a public celebration from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at The Corners.

During the Downton Abbey-themed event, guests can enjoy free treats, tea and samples from S Bar, Silverspot’s onsite bar and lounge. Attendees will also be treated to a 1920s-era classic car showing with photo opportunities, live jazz music, the chance to win movie tickets for a year, Downton Abbey-themed giveaways and more.

Tickets for the film are not required to attend the free community celebration.

Silverspot Cinema will also kick off its cultural programming this month with the opening of the Bollywood comedy-drama Chhichhore on Sept. 6.

Starting in November, Silverspot will partner with London’s Royal Opera House to be the first theater in Wisconsin to offer showings of the historic venue’s seasonal opera performances, including “Don Giovanni,” “Don Pasquale,” “Concerto/Enigma Variations/Raymonda Act III” and “The Nutcracker” among others. Other cultural programming includes special Flashback Cinema showings of favorite films, like “Lord of the Rings,” “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” and more.
