What was the smartest thing your company did in the past year?

The smartest thing we have done this year is become more involved in the community. There’s no better feeling than giving back to a community that has given me and my business so much. We donate to Safe Babies Healthy Families and will be holding a drive for the ElmBrook Humane Society this summer.

How many years have you been in business?

I have been in business in Brookfield for five years, and have been a practicing Chiropractor for 11 years.

What advice can you give to struggling business owners?

We all go through the struggle but make sure you join an organization like the Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce. Not only has the chamber been a big support to me and my business, I have also made a lot of connections with other businesses that I am able to lean on and talk through my opportunities with.

As someone doing business in the metro Milwaukee area, how does the Brookfield Chamber help you?

The Brookfield Chamber has been a great help to me personally and business-wise. The chamber helped me achieve confidence in public speaking and networking through their great programs. They have been there to help me really succeed in business. When I moved to Wisconsin, I knew no one here. The Brookfield Chamber was the first organization I joined, and it’s not only where I built my business but also where I have made life-long friends.

Do you have any advice for new business owners?

Join a community-based organization. It helps you be better involved in the community and helps build comradery with other business owners.

What would your colleagues be surprised to find out about you?

My colleagues would be surprised to know that I’m shy. I tend to fake it well that I’m not. I also still am nervous each time I have to stand up and talk in front of a group. I do it all the time, but still gets my nerves going every time.

How long have you been a Brookfield Chamber member?

I’ve been a chamber member for five years. I regularly attend the ABLE networking events and Business After 5 events. I am also a chamber Ambassador, and meet with new members to help them assimilate into the chamber community. I have volunteered at the annual golf outing.

Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce is the largest business organization in Brookfield, and the leading business organization representing the interests of business in Brookfield and the surrounding area. GBCC recognizes the value in creating collaborative partnerships with other chambers in Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties. These partnerships expand the reach, influence, and visibility of the Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce and provide additional benefits to its membership.
