Egg Day at the Milwaukee County Zoo

(Zoological Society of Milwaukee, April 2014)—Seven-year-old twins Alyssa and Tallie (right) Buczek, of Brookfield, painted their bunny ears at the Milwaukee County Zoo’s Egg Day celebration on April 19. Sponsored by Welch’s and Pick ‘n Save, the day-before-Easter event drew 8,764 zoogoers. Visitors enjoyed a hop-to-it Bunny Scavenger Hunt, face painting, a “bubblologist” and checked out egg-shaped treats for various Zoo animals. Children could also take a train ride with Easter eggs hidden throughout the route and decorate their own bunny ears and an Easter basket. Near the end of the event children bunny hopped in the Easter parade featuring music by Dixie-land jazz band Razzmatazz.
