The City of Brookfield Safety Town is a nationally affiliated early childhood safety education program designed to teach all types of safety situations to five-year-old children.
Safety Town emphasizes traffic, fire, and personal safety. It is a prevention program that teaches young children how to prevent accidents from occurring and how to respond to dangerous situations. Lessons are taught in the classroom, on field trips and on the Safety Town miniature layout that includes buildings, roads, signs, and tricycles.
The summer of 2013 marks the 28th year that the City of Brookfield Safety Town Program has been made available to the children of our community.
