May Crowning and Living Rosary

St. John Vianney students will gather in the church for the annual May Crowning celebration.  An eighth grade girl and eighth grade boy have been selected by faculty to crown Mary and Baby Jesus.  They were selected using the virtues of Mary as they appear in the Bible as criteria for the selection.

The advanced strings will play Ave Maria, while the second grade and eighth grade students take their place for the living rosary.  The second grade students encircle the church, moving toward the altar and around the church as each prayer of the rosary is recited.
