October Ladies Night at Soerens Ford Turns Focus to Health

is hosting an October Ladies Night for Breast Cancer Awareness. Instead of learning to take care of their cars, Soerens is promoting that women learn to take care of themselves.

More than 20 vendors will provide health and wellness-related services for women. There will be free massages and manicures available courtesy of LM Therapuetic Massage and . There will also be talks on all aspects of women's health by experts from , Life Without Pain, and more.

Women will have the opportunity to get a henna tattoo, create a scapbook card and shop from local vendors including , , hand crafted jewelry, artwork, and many more. Some services could have a cost; most are free.

"We really want to have women understand we want them to feel really pampered that evening, and there is a lot that goes into preventative care," said Laura Mokelke, marketing coordinator for Soerens Ford.

Normally the monthly Ladies Night event teaches women to take care of their automobiles, but the focus on breast cancer in October motivated the dealership to change the theme. Guests are encouraged to wear pink, and Mokelke said some of the women attending are breast cancer survivors, or are bringing friends who are.

and will provide food and beverages, and all women in attendance receive a free swag bag that includes a symbolic bandana scarf.
