Five Reasons to Hire a Professional Realtor
Allison Quartuccio of Denali Realty Group Shares Five Tips on Working With a Professional Real Estate Agent

My name is Allison Quartuccio, and I’m the Broker/Partner at Denali Realty Group. The real estate market is hot, and over the last several weeks I’ve shared some professional tips on how to take a good look at your home and staging it in preparation for selling, or just to update things as well as how to be a buyer in this seller’s market.
Today we are going to talk about five reasons to hire a professional realtor.
Education and Experience

You don’t need to stay up nights searching online about buying and selling real estate if you hire a professional that has the education and practical experience to guide you thru the process. Stay up nights searching actual homes and falling in love, not “how to write an offer” videos on YouTube. That is what we are for. Also, real estate has dates and deadlines. A LOT of dates and deadlines, and it is time-consuming. Miss one and you could be out thousands of dollars. When you’re going about your daily life with family and work obligations, the last thing on your mind should not be an inspection that needs to be satisfied by midnight. As Henry Ford once said, “When you hire people smarter than you are, it proves you are smarter than they are!”
Agents are Buffers (and have superhero powers!)

Agents keep the peace by working with licensed agents working with qualified buyers. Can you imagine trying to sell a home on your own and finding out halfway through the buyer isn’t qualified? No thank you! We protect and serve you by keeping your interest ahead of ours. It is our fiduciary responsibility and one we don’t take lightly. And we have been known to keep other agents from biting at your heels when you are just looking online or at an open house. (That’s where the superhero powers come into play!)
Market Conditions Information and Neighborhood Knowledge
Real estate agents can research and disclose market condition information that will govern your selling or buying process. How many houses have sold this year in your neighborhood? Check! How many months will it take to deplete the current inventory in your city? Check, check! Your neighbor’s house was listed, and you don’t know what it sold for or what it looked like inside? Easy Peasy…We’ve got you covered!
Price Guidance
Contrary to popular belief, real estate agents do not select the prices for sellers or buyers. That is all on the customer! We can’t look into the future (how can we get THAT superpower?) but we can check out the past and guide you based on current conditions and trends. Final say all rests on your shoulders, and please don’t rely on the “Zestimate.” There are some great memes out there that will show you why.
Negotiation Skills and Confidentiality
Real estate agents have the power to negotiate because unlike most buyers and sellers we can remove ourselves emotionally from the transaction and because we are skilled at doing so. You could also call us negotiating ninjas. It is a big part of our job description and one of the most important. The old saying “your secret is safe with us,” rings true in real estate too! Agents have a duty to protect all that you hold dear.
We would love to continue the conversation with buyers looking in what is sure to be another strong summer seller’s market given the continued lack of inventory and low interest rates. Please reach out with questions of your own and visit www.denaligroupwi.com to start your search!
