Go Organic at Cafe Manna

Cafe Manna – The décor of this quaint cafe on Brookfield Road in Brookfield, supports the environment by using eco-friendly building materials such as bamboo constructed floors and counters. The window and bathroom counters are made from “paper stone,” or constructed of recycled paper. The cafe also uses carry-out containers made from sugar cane, corn, potato or vegetable protein, meaning no plastic or Styrofoam is used.

Cafe Manna is one of the first 100 percent vegetarian restaurants in Southeastern Wisconsin and is the first Certified Green Restaurant in Wisconsin. The ingredients used in the variety of items on the menu are organically grown or use sustainability farming practices whenever possible. They also use locally grown foods as seasons permit, and use a reverse osmosis water purification system.

Among the sandwich menu items include a exotic crispy Falafel pocket, Apple Feta served on flatbread, a Lentil hamburger, a mushroom hamburger and nutty vegetable ingredients served on almond bread. The cafe also serves tasty salads and soups, and have a dedicated kids menu available. To wash down the delicious food, the cafe offers a Limonade (a nutritious lemonade-style drink made with fresh limes, swiss chard, pear, agave, nectar and purified water), almond milk, green juice and gypsy teas, and organic red and white wines. The cafe offers a fast carry-out service, by calling ahead.
