Mendoza met the girl while the two worked together at Summerfest and went to her house on Aug. 12, which is his birthday. They were all in the hot tub when the girl asked if any of them wanted to go take a shower, to which Mendoza said he would.

He told police he got into the shower and then the girl joined him, but less than a minute later, her mother came in and “threatened to cut his (expletive) off” and told him to never come back.

The girl’s mother told police she suspected someone was in the shower because she saw a pair of swimming trunks on the floor, and the other men in the hot tub. Mendoza told police he knew the girl was 16.
