Huber Inmate Accused of Trespassing in Brookfield Apartment

Suspect told police she went into her ex-boyfriend's apartment so she could mess up some of his things.

A Waukesha County Huber Jail inmate is facing charges for allegedly breaking into her ex-boyfriend’s Brookfield apartment while released for counseling.

MaryJo Caputa, 56, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Tuesday with criminal trespass of a dwelling.

A criminal complaint alleges that when Caputa was released from the jail to attend counseling on July 15, she broke into the victim’s apartment in the 17400 block of River Birch Drive and rifled through his belongings. The victim said he came home to find coins and other items laying on the floor and the door open.
