Marquette High School won the first golf meet of the season Monday by barely hanging on to a one-stroke advantage over Brookfield Central High School.

Marquette ended up as a team at 154, while Brookfield Central came in second at 159. Brookfield East High School came in third at 160 and in fourth place was Wauwatosa at 161.

It was super close with just a three-stroke difference among the second, third and fourth finishers. The boys varsity GMC Mini-Meet was held at Blue Mound Golf and Country Club, 10122 W North Ave. in Milwaukee.
