Milwaukee Man Fatally Shot in Driveway Was Father of Three

Less than a week after Andy Voit was shot and killed, police were back, investigating after the home he was living at was broken into.

MILWAUKEE — Less than a week after a father of three was shot and killed in the driveway of his Milwaukee home, police were back investigating another crime.

According to a report by FOX 6,the home of Andrew Voit, the man who was shot and killed on July 21, had been broken into. A window had been smashed in order to gain entry.

Officers responded to a home in the neighborhood near 84th and Grantosa. They located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the report, Voit was coming home from work, where he was a manager at the Ground Round in Brookfield, when the fateful events occurred.

Voit's girlfriend Cori Bierstecker told FOX 6 that her car was stolen, and that police are investigating a link between her boyfriend's death and a burning vehicle found outside of the Rave on Wisconsin Ave. in Milwaukee.

Milwaukee police are seeking a motive in this case — and are searching for suspects.
