Gemutlichkeit aptly describes the Olive-Toberfest Open House held by Olive Promotions and Apparel on Thursday, October 10, at their new headquarters in the Brookfield Village.
Olive President Patti Pavlic Bohne noted, “We wanted to host a fun event for our clients to show our appreciation and let them tour our new location. With our family heritage and at this time of the year--what could be more perfect than an Octoberfest? So, we hired a live polka band with accordion, drums and vocals and fired up the grill!”
“Now is the time when businesses plan for the important fourth quarter—holiday gifts for clients, trade show giveaways, winter sports apparel and spirit wear, calendars and so much more. We wanted to kick off the season with a special party for our clients,” added Bart Bohne, business partner.

Over one hundred guests were treated to a German celebration with a wide selection of beers and wines offered along with heartier fare of bratwurst and sauerkraut, pretzels, meatballs, red cabbage and kuchen.
Passersby were treated to “singing and dancing in the streets” of Brookfield--well, more precisely, polka-ing on the sidewalks! Younger crowd members laughed at some of the lyrics to well-loved tunes and many hopped around to the music as they received polka dance lessons. Feet were flying, fingers and toes were tapping, and voices were raised in song – the makings of a perfect Milwaukee celebration.

Inside, select vendors showcased their broad lines with offerings of coats, fleece, shirts, hats, aprons, bags, giftware and other promotional items to start the winter/holiday season offerings.
