Lancers clobber Wildcats 62-24; play at Franklin for Level 2 game.
Brookfield Central didn't even let its starting quarterback play, but it mattered not as the Lancers crushed Milwaukee Hamilton 62-24 in a WIAA Division 1 Level 1 playoff game Saturday in Brookfield.
The Lancers (8-2) led 35-0 in the second quarter and 56-16 at the half as sophomore Riley Richarz directed the offense all afternoon. He ran for two scores and threw for another, while Marcus Crum and Craig Jordan also ran for two and Robert Rossmiller, Jason Toney and Charlie O'Dwyer also scored.
Brookfield Central's next game is at Franklin (8-2), which beat Marquette 23-21 on Friday night. Marquette was the only conference team to defeat Brookfield Central this season. The date and time of the game are to be determined.
