Police Find Cocaine in Brookfield Man's Pocket After Drunk Driving Arrest

Suspect faces drug charges after he is caught driving drunk through Elm Grove.

A Brookfield man is facing drug charges after he allegedly was caught driving drunk through Elm Grove with cocaine in his pocket.

David Jones, 30, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of possession of cocaine. 

According to the criminal complaint:

An Elm Grove police officer stopped Jones' vehicle on March 11 in the 13600 block of Juneau Boulevard for speeding. When the officer reached the car he could already smell alcohol, and Jones said he had been drinking.

Jones failed a field sobriety test and had a blood alcohol level of 0.133. He was arrested for operating while intoxicated and taken to the Elm Grove police station where officers found the cocaine inside his pocket.

He will make his initial appearance in court April 2.
