R.A. Smith National Promotes John Elkin to Director of Transportation
Long-time R.A. Smith National employee John Elkin promoted to Director of Transportation.

R.A. Smith National – a multi-disciplined civil engineering and surveying firm – based in Brookfield, Wis., has promoted John Elkin to Director of Transportation.
Elkin previously was Assistant Director of Transportation, a position he held since January 2014. He holds more than 30 years of experience in project management and transportation design in the transportation division at R.A. Smith National.
Elkin will be responsible for directing and supervising the overall functions of the transportation and traffic services division. He will continue to serve his clients as their primary contact. He has extensive project management and design experience in rural and urban roadway design for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and local government.

Elkin has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. He is a registered professional engineer in the state of Wisconsin.
Elkin lives in Menomonee Falls, Wis.
