Richard and Nickie Schmidt, of Brookfield, attended the Zoological Society of Milwaukee’s (ZSM’s) 30th anniversary Zoo Ball June 22 at the Milwaukee County Zoo. The fundraiser was sponsored by U.S. Bank, Wells Fargo and Wisconsin Energy Foundation. Richard Schmidt is president and CEO of C.G. Schmidt and is on the ZSM Board of Directors. The Zoo World-themed gala featured a gourmet meal, made possible thanks to support from U.S. Bank, and live entertainment, sponsored by Johnson Controls. A late-night venue where the almost 830 guests could enjoy dessert, cocktails and dancing was sponsored by We Energies. Proceeds from this fundraising event go toward the ZSM’s mission of conserving wildlife, educating people about conservation and supporting the Zoo.
