Shooting at Brookfield Hotel Injures Two; Suspect at Large
Police are searching for a 19-year-old man after he reportedly shot two 18-year-olds during a fight at a Brookfield hotel Sunday.

BROOKFIELD, WI — Police are searching for a 19-year-old man after he reportedly shot two 18-year-olds during a fight at a hotel in Brookfield overnight Sunday.
According to police, a fight broke out at the Embassy Suites hotel in Brookfield at approximately 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning. Police say there had been a party involving a large number of young adults, when a fight broke out between two of the party's attendees.

Police say that a male assaulted a female, and moments later other guests intervened to quell the disturbance. During the physical altercation, police say the suspect, a 19-year-old male, fired several rounds, striking an 18-year-old male and an 18-year-old female.

The suspect then fled, and police are currently searching the area for him.
According to a Journal Sentinel report, an 18-year-old woman was shot in the buttocks and an 18-year-old man was shot in the abdomen. Both victims were from Milwaukee and both were treated at a nearby hospital.

A FOX 6 report states that approximately half-dozen rounds were fired at guests, and that several others narrowly escaped being struck.
The Journal Sentinel report states that the 19-year-old man fled in his vehicle, which police recovered in Milwaukee near his home.
