Suzanne Cunningham Joins R.A. Smith National as LiDAR & 3D Modeling Technician

Suzanne Cunningham has joined R.A. Smith National – a multi-disciplined civil engineering and surveying firm – in Brookfield, Wis., as LiDAR and 3D modeling technician in the survey division.

Cunningham has nine years of combined experience as a LiDAR and 3D modeling technician, GIS/CAD specialist and CAD technician, as well as extensive experience with a variety of engineering-related technical software packages. Her area of expertise is LiDAR data extraction. This work has ranged from UAV data collection and processing, topographic mapping, utility mapping, as-built surveys, structural detailing, architectural detailing, tunnel mapping, settlement monitoring, floor flatness studies and volumetric calculations.

In addition to LiDAR-related work, Cunningham has a broad range of experience in plan set production, volume calculations, topographic mapping, as-built plans, staking setup, easement exhibits, GIS, environmental studies and permits, animation and rendering.

Cunningham has a bachelor’s degree in natural resources from the University of Wisconsin—Madison.

She currently resides in Milwaukee, Wis.
